We here at Candy Ford Group are looking for some adult men to work a promo coming up in October for us. The promotion is in the Washington, DC area and is for Higher Lines Foods. Higher Lines is actually a term that dates back to the 1800's describing the most respected captains in a fleet of ships, whose intimate knowledge of the sea lands them around the world in order to find the best catch of the day :) Higher Lines foods are doing demos of their "Captain's Cuts" seafood entrees at various stores in the DC area. We are looking for some adult gentlemen to help in these promos. We would ask you to accompany the promo people as the "Captain" character.
There will be NO COOKING or SAMPLING for you, just stand with the sampler and be the "Captain". You would be required to do some light interaction with the consumers and talk a bit about the product and will be visiting 2-3 stores a day. You will be required to wear a turtle neck shirt, blazer and Captain's hat (all of which will be provided for you by the client).
The days and hours are as follows:
Saturday October 15, 2005 10:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday October 22, 2005 10:00am - 6:00pm

If you are available and interested, please call us and speak to either me or Tara, our promotions director (ext 15), and reference the "Captains" promotion and which market you are interested in working.

Dateline: San Angelo, Texas - August 5, 2005r.
As was reported about a week ago, Jim has been having some chest pains that MAY be 'little heart attacks.' Earlier this week, his doctor had schedule an EKG and the results were normal, blood pressure has gotten lower and they scheduled a stress test and other [imaging] tests because they are thinking that Jim Riley may have something swollen in his heart.
Tests are scheduled for Wednesday, August 10th.
Dateline: San Angelo, Texas - July 27, 2005r.
Over the past month or so, Jim Riley, has been having very high blood pressure, in the 200+/130+ range, along with chest pains varying from what felt like a finger jam, to squeezing, to something akin to what a charlie-horse in the leg would feel like, except in his heart...so he went to his doctor and although his blood pressure was at a level too high to run the traditional EKG and stress test, it is being assumed at this point that jim has been having 'little heart attacks.'
Tests are scheduled for Monday, August 1st, after his blood pressure has been brought donw to safer levels.
Dateline: Santa Maria, California - June 13, 2005r.
Why is it that whenever a prosecutor loses a case in court, he never comes out and says: 'The jury has spoken and in our system, the client is innocent.' Let alone an apology for putting someone on trial who he (or she) didn't have enough evidence to get a conviction? I would respect someone as refreshingly honest as that, much more than I respect the political animals taking poor people to task, trying to make 'examples' of people who can't fight back...but only 'caught' when they prosecute the rich and powerful who have the money for an adequate defense.
Is Michael Jackson really innocent? He plays a role, publically he is a very strange, even weird individual, but in America...a man or woman is supposed to be innocent until PROVEN guilty. Did the prosecutor in this case prove anything except it's incompitence? I know this may not be 'popular' but if we value the American way of life, we really must give Michael the benefit of the doubt...just as his jury did.
Dateline: San Angelo, Texas - May 23, 2005r.
Been blessed and got an even better position. Now it's time to get the site going again!

Dateline: Odessa, Texas - August 21, 2002r.
First of all, my apologies to everyone out there! I've been gone for about a year...but what a year indeed. As you may or may not know, I was working in Phoenix, Arizona as an A+ and Microsoft Certified Professional for Excell Agent Services a multi-national telecommunications company. They were great and I had wonderful experiences, but in March 2001...I was laid off. Things got really bad in the IT field and I couldn't find any work at all until about November of 2001 when I was hired as a restaurant manager for Luby's Cafeterias.
Luby's is a fantastic company and they are also great people (I have been very lucky!). I learned to bake, butcher and cook professionally. I learned to manage the stores in San Antonio, Texas and was soon assigned to my cafeteria in a place called Midland, Texas. Unfortunately, everyday was about sixteen (16) hours and this didn't leave any time to be creative or work on the site at all.
This is when I learned of a job opening at a local FOX affiliate, KPEJ...FOX24. I was hired to work on local commercials, selling and more importantly...WRITING them! My boss, a lady by the name of Laura was a great teacher and incredible mentor. My co-workers were amazing to work with. They were all so creative and friendly. Then, CBS heard about me and offered me a position and again I am fortunate to be working with some of the most talented, creative and amazing people in the industry. So, now I am with CBS and daring to tweak a line from an old film: "I'm baaaaaaaaaack!"
So, please start submitting again...please start visiting more often (again) and I promise to keep uilding 'onlinetheater' into what we all know it can be!

Dateline: Phoenix - June 5, 2000r.
Principle photography has ended on the first Onlinetheater Production, "A Woman's Scorn" starring Eara Betts, Michael J. Bruner, Erica Ashbrook, Chadwick Bower and Thai Doan. The actors worked scenes in a bar, hotel room and in a cemetary.
The shooting was rushed when one of the locations had to open, giving us only about twenty minutes in the bar...the camera kept rolling and we only had about three takes, but it was a lot of fun and we owe the bar owners our gratitude, they were really nice and very helpful.
Post production work is just beginning and we are anticipating our first release will be 'online' by December.

Dateline: Phoenix - May 22, 2000r.
Taping began on the first Onlinetheater Production, "A Woman's Scorn" starring Eara Betts, Michael J. Bruner, Erica Ashbrook and Chadwick Bower (not pictured). The actors and writer James E. F. Riley, Sr. carefully worked on both open and closed sets to capture the essence of this tragic story about an unhappy married couple in the 21st century.
The story-line differs slightly from the original in part, but maintains it's momentum and carries the same tragic consequences for a modern couple as they search for something more, something deeper, only to lose everything they hold dear.
"A Woman's Scorn" is being shot with state-of-the-art Sony digital video equipment. The shoot is expected to continue through May 27th.
Dateline: Phoenix - January 26, 2000r.
This month James E. F. Riley, Sr. began meeting with with some aspiring cast members. Bonnie, Chad, Erica and Mike all interviewed and auditioned for roles in upcoming stories such as "A Woman's Scorn" and "Tiffany Girl."
We need to go through these preliminaries before we start putting-up pictures and bios, but soon, you should start to see how the onlinetheater cast is growing. I'm excited because these are new, fresh faces, yet Bonnie and Erica both have some modeling experience, Bonnie and Mike both have some acting experience!
The contracts are written-up, the story board is done and a first script is already getting passed around...so shooting should start some time next month.
I hope you enjoyed this update, people are starting to look at this site from all over the world, so it's really an exciting time!
Please let me know if there's anything particular that you'd like to see covered as news? And, please let your family and friends know about our site?
